Pure reorder, not substitution
Every letter is exactly the one you typed — only its position changes. Run it again to undo it.
Reverse Text Generator
Reverses the order of your letters within each line — a real character reorder, not an image or a mirrored font. Because it's plain ASCII reordered rather than substituted, it pastes anywhere and still passes spell-check and search exactly like normal backwards-read text would.
Coverage measures this generator's mappings, not device rendering or destination-app acceptance.

Details
- Letters
- A-Z, a-z (reordered, not substituted)
- Digits
- 0-9 (reordered, not substituted)
Reorders letters within each line right-to-left; it does not substitute any character, so plain-ASCII output means it also passes straight through spell-check, search and sorting exactly like normal text read backwards. Running it through this same generator a second time restores the original order.
What the characters actually are
How to use it
- Type your text in the box.
- Copy the reversed result.
- Paste it anywhere — it's ordinary characters, just reordered.
Limitations and compatibility
- This reorders characters; it does not substitute any letter for a different Unicode character, unlike this site's other 45 styles. That means it's genuinely plain ASCII (or whatever script you typed), so it isn't detectable as "styled" the way a Unicode-substituted style is.
- Multi-line input is reversed line by line — line order itself is preserved, only the letters within each line are reordered.
- Because no character is substituted, the Plain Text Converter has nothing to reverse here — to undo reversed text, run it through this same generator a second time.
Questions
Is this the same as 'upside-down' text?
No — upside-down text substitutes letters for Unicode look-alikes that appear rotated 180°. Reversed text only changes letter order; the letters themselves are completely unchanged. See our Upside Down Text Generator for the substitution version.
Will this work for names or sentences?
Yes — it reverses whatever you type, letter by letter, including spaces and punctuation, exactly as they'd read backwards.
Can I combine this with another style, like bold?
Yes — generate your bold text first, then paste the bold result in here to reverse its order too. Or use our Text Decorator to add a border around either version.
