Six curated styles, one page
Glitch shown here — a deterministic stack of combining marks, never random, so copying never regenerates a different result.
Weird Text Generator
A curated grouping of this site's stranger-looking styles. Each one has its own dedicated page with full coverage details; this page is a discovery shortcut through the same engine.
Coverage measures this generator's mappings, not device rendering or destination-app acceptance.
Alternating Case
16/19 characters supported (84%)StYlE yOuR nAmE, jOsé 42
3 character(s) kept as original text (not supported by this style).
Details
- Letters
- A-Z, a-z (case alternated)
- Digits
- Unchanged
Alternates upper/lower case across letters, replacing the original casing entirely; the plain-text converter cannot recover which letters were originally uppercase.
Big Squares
16/19 characters supported (84%)🇸🇹🇾🇱🇪 🇾🇴🇺🇷 🇳🇦🇲🇪, 🇯🇴🇸é 42
3 character(s) kept as original text (not supported by this style).
Details
- Letters
- A-Z only — lowercase is upper-cased (case lost)
- Digits
- Not supported
Uses the same characters combined in pairs to render country-flag emoji — used alone, each renders as one oversized square capital letter. Uppercase-only in Unicode, with no digit glyphs at all; lowercase input is converted to uppercase first, so original case can't be recovered. Two adjacent letters from this style can render as a flag-like pair rather than two separate letters, and the plain-text converter only reliably recovers letters left unpaired, so this style is not fully reversible.
Circle Overlay
18/19 characters supported (95%)S⃝t⃝y⃝l⃝e⃝ y⃝o⃝u⃝r⃝ n⃝a⃝m⃝e⃝, J⃝o⃝s⃝é 4⃝2⃝
1 character(s) kept as original text (not supported by this style).
Details
- Letters
- A-Z, a-z (combining mark added)
- Digits
- 0-9 (combining mark added)
Adds a combining mark to plain ASCII letters and digits (unlike this site's other combining-mark styles, which are letters-only) — a circled or squared digit is a common request this style is built to support.
Square Overlay
18/19 characters supported (95%)S⃞t⃞y⃞l⃞e⃞ y⃞o⃞u⃞r⃞ n⃞a⃞m⃞e⃞, J⃞o⃞s⃞é 4⃞2⃞
1 character(s) kept as original text (not supported by this style).
Details
- Letters
- A-Z, a-z (combining mark added)
- Digits
- 0-9 (combining mark added)
Adds a combining mark to plain ASCII letters and digits (unlike this site's other combining-mark styles, which are letters-only) — a circled or squared digit is a common request this style is built to support.
Vaporwave
18/19 characters supported (95%)S t y l e y o u r n a m e, J o sé 4 2
1 character(s) kept as original text (not supported by this style).
Details
- Letters
- A-Z, a-z (full, fullwidth + spacing)
- Digits
- 0-9 (full, fullwidth + spacing)
Combines fullwidth substitution with an inserted space between letters. Because the result looks like ordinary widely-spaced text, the plain-text converter cannot safely tell inserted spacing apart from real spaces, so this style is not auto-reversible.
Glitch
16/19 characters supported (84%)Ṡ̘ṫ̆ẙĺ̂ê̗ ŷ̂ŏ̜ǘṛ̈ ňà̋m̊̇ē̟̄, J̋̌ṑś̗é 42
3 character(s) kept as original text (not supported by this style).
Details
- Letters
- A-Z, a-z (stacked combining marks)
- Digits
- Not supported
Stacks a small, reviewed set of combining marks above and below each letter, chosen deterministically from the letter and its position — the same input always produces the same output, and copying never regenerates it. Rendering varies significantly by font and app, and heavy stacking can be hard for screen readers; this style is not auto-reversible, since its marks can't be reliably told apart from a real accent.
What the characters actually are
How to use it
- Type your text in the box.
- Compare all six styles at once below.
- Press Copy next to the one you want, then paste it anywhere.
Limitations and compatibility
- Glitch stacks a small, reviewed set of combining marks above and below each letter, chosen deterministically from the letter and its position — heavy stacking can be hard for screen readers and isn't auto-reversible.
- Vaporwave combines fullwidth substitution with inserted spacing; because the result looks like ordinary widely-spaced text, it isn't auto-reversible either.
- Regional indicator (Big Squares) is uppercase-only in Unicode — lowercase input is upper-cased first, and it has no assigned digit glyphs.
- Each of these styles has its own dedicated page (linked below) with the exact coverage table — this page doesn't add or remove any coverage, it's the same six transforms.
Questions
Is this a different engine from the main generator?
No. It is the same engine, pre-filtered to six styles chosen for this page's weird-text theme.
Which style is the most 'glitchy'?
Glitch itself, by design — it stacks Unicode combining marks above and below each letter. See our dedicated Glitch style entry on the homepage for the full technical breakdown.
Can I add a border around this text?
Yes — copy the result and paste it into our Text Decorator to wrap it with a star, heart or bracket border.
